Hello

I'm just find my ipad mini (1st gen) cannot be used after the latest 7.1.0 update, even on apps re-installation, It was fine on all previous versions, my T2 running on 14.3 and can be operated on lumin android app, Linn's app.

Regards

Please make sure you grant Local Network permission in iOS privacy settings to Lumin app.

Same here. On iPad mini 1st gen since updating to 7.1.0 the app always crashes when opening. It happens already on the splash screen.

What is really interesting is that the app does partly crash, as when you double tap the home button, you’ll find the app opened on the background. If you click it there it (the app) will show briefly for a second, then disappear again.

P.S. @wklie
On iOS 9.3.5 there is no such Privacy > Local Network setting implemented. This is only in newer iOS versions.

We are fixing the problem on iOS 9 and 8, and will release an update ASAP.

Meanwhile, if you have another newer iOS device or Android device, please try it instead.

Please try Lumin app 7.1.1

Thank you for your quick respond, 7.1.1 now working on my ipad mini (g1), lovely app and no other app can compare with lumin.

Regards

Peter, I thought a while ago, there was some Apple devices ( Ipads) that were not, due to their age not compatible with the Lumin app, is that still true and if so is it noted somewhere..

iOS 8 is required for Lumin app (compared to iOS 11 requirement for Roon Remote app).

Devices with too little storage / RAM won't work properly.

We have put a lot of effort into maintaining old hardware.

Just checked the latest apps from some of our competitors. All of them require either iOS 11 or 12.

I’m amazed the code of Lumin app is so good and resource efficient that it keeps working on older iOS. Thumbs up. I believe it is proof of knowing what Lumin is doing and that this a sign of quality
