Thanks for the link. The analysis estimates an infection mortality rate of 1.4% for New York City, and seems reasonable, but it does raise some questions regarding what number should be used as the number of people that have died due to the virus. They used [FONT=noto sans, sans-serif]"the number of deaths above expected seasonal baseline levels, regardless of the reported cause of death" as the number of Covid-19 deaths rather than the number of deaths diagnosed as Covid-19 deaths. It appears that this may be a more accurate estimate of Covid-19 deaths, but it is an estimate, not an actual number of deaths due to Covid-19. Also, the number of "excess deaths" (as of May 2) for 2020 that I see on the CDC site today appears to be lower than the number used in the analysis.
It will be interesting to see more data and see if the infection mortality rate is lower for lower population densities.[/FONT]

It will be interesting to see Accurate Un-Biased data which I highly doubt will be available because too much manipulation has already gone into these numbers.

Really?! And what a.wayne said to start this ("NYC mortality rate is from applied negligence and incompetence, when the dust settles Cuomo will have to answer ...! ) was somehow not politics. Why is that when conservatives make a statement against liberal politicians it is not politics but when liberals do it, it is politics? You Trump lovers sure have a thin skin!

The ones where they put Covid on Death Certs of people who did not die from Covid?
The ones where they may have used faulty tests that gave either False Positives OR False Negatives?
The Numbers CNN posts?
The Death Scroll on the local News?
The Numbers coming from the White House?
The numbers from the WHO that can no longer ever be trusted?
The numbers from China, Russia, and N. Korea which will never be the Truth?

We will never get an accurate count of deaths that were solely from Covid
We will never find out why the WHO let this get around the world before they spoke up

I think I have been the only person to state numerous times that threads like these don’t belong on an audio forum. These threads may start off with the assumption that people won’t interject politics into them, but they always do.

I agree with you on this MEP, I ducked out of the last one but not this time around once it turned to Politics as usual. Sorry to the OP who I know was just trying to get his videos out there. If this were "just' a Pandemic and not in the middle of an Election year behind a 3.5 year wast of my tax dollars in witch hunts, the threads may have been able to stay on track.
Mike should Shut this one down and we should all just agree to leave Politics off of this great Audio Forum.

sir, by nature it is very difficult to count. there is no dark power behind the story.
you do overrate the role and function of the WHO. apart from that the danger of this virus was no secret.
when a certain amount of countrys and conbtinents have proven cases of infection, then the WHO will announce the pandemic.
in case of covid that happend on march 11th. the point is, there was no proven pandemic before.
