Internal External Power

Hello

I wonder what the reasons are for component makers to choose between internal and external power supplies.

I get the goal is to reduce noise so why is it not standardized in higher end components to separate power and why does it seem this configurement is source more on components then amps?

Amps for the most part are the power supply and I am not sure how much you gain in separating the front end from the back end. With pre-amps and a few other components getting the noise of the power supply away from the more sensitive areas does help as you noted.
