listen to them with Rogers LS3/5A with 12 Watts....I'm so confused.....Why do I need a monster set up ??? Seriously....Why ?

Darn sounds good. I can easily live with them as my main...I mean ...It's got every thing...High ...Mid...Bass...

The fit and finish is top notch...The knobs on volume and selector are as good as Shindo gears.
Also the remote is made by wood and metal and obviously better than my McIntosh's remote.

Hmmm.....Simply Italy .....Highly recommended.

awesome paul!!!!! congrats. ive given up on the big watts myself.
now get yourself one of them unison research turntables .lol.

Looks great Paul! I see you wasted no time in putting the Shuguang's in there, nice. You see, there's no need to hide that sweet little amp in your bedroom! A bazillion watts and some big-ass monster speakers, who needs them. :D

lmao ,the main room will be unison integrated and 096's in no time.lol.

Just for curiosity I paired them with my main speakers ( Music speakers )

How this 12 watts can drive these monster speakers so ease ??? Anyone can explain ? When I had a Master sound 845 Int amp. It was having a hard time to push the driver's but this little machine has a no problem.....Hmmm.

I'm glad you're enjoying the new amp Paul. Sometimes when you play big bold music you need a little more umph and these low watt amps can suffer when doing so. Most of the time though, as you've heard, you really don't need a lot of power (of course speaker choice plays a huge roll here).

I've always wondered why McIntosh doesn't have a sweet little 35 watt EL34 based amp. They could just use the same chassis as the MC275 and save on manufacturing costs. Their use of KT88's are good for the power aspect but they sure don't satisfy in the music dept. like EL34's (as far as I'm concerned).

Enjoy the Unison and keep us updated. :audiophile:
