In terms of jitter; is femtoseconds superior and less jitter than a picosecond?

while we all have preference some is not. Bad is bad by most if they have heard good.
Ok, agree most prefer good over bad. But the example of say Lampi vs MSB is probably going to be considered "good" vs "good". Yet there are still stark preferences involved.

My comment on distortion is valid but you glazed over it. jitter does not fit your cause.
About speakers creating the most distortion in the chain? I agree!

Want to know why reclocking is needed and why Msb does it.
Vince Kars post explained http://www.audioshark.org/showthread.php?t=14315&page=3&p=239978&viewfull=1#post239978
It certainly won't harm to have that level of perfection.
Vinyl has about 100000x more timing error...and folks still love it ;)
Might be getting some "lost in internet translation" here, I think we are agreeing far more than disagreeing.

Was anyone else on this thread ready for a serious discussion? I gave my best technical interpretation and was studiously avoided. Sigh.

Aj I agree we are more in tune then not. And me being misunderstood is mostly me lol. It’s a shame I know so much but post so poorly of its info. Yet in person I am very different.
AJ if your ever in ny look me up would love you to be in my room to hangout and listen and talk. Mep is invited too. And I mean that.
I am actually buying curtains to make my room look better for pictures of my room to be posted. It’s so not me.

I see people people increasingly checking out of AS, as it has become increasingly difficult to have any meaningful conversation nowadays.

Most forums are argumentive by nature. Consider this we spend big bucks on this hobby mostly listen alone and wonder why we don’t all agree lol.
Its true we fight but even so I do invite strangers whom I only know from forms into my room.
Not friends or neighbors I can’t explain just how odd this is to any of my friends
or my wife who hates the hobby. There is more Comradiery in duck hunting hahaha and I can’t spell the fing word comrodiery not even Siri knows

Camaraderie?

Its not about agreeing or being argumentative.

Its about discussion on the subject theme.
We are too easily distracted and segue into irrelevant (to the matter at hand) topics or themes.

I also dont give a pass to the OP who didnt do enough to try to keep people focussed on a pertinent answer. Its as he he didnt really want an answer, just a self-affirming pat on the back or just to stir the pot.

Not really. I did get an answer from the first two posts. Until the armchair engineers and the "IT doesn't matter" crowd chimed in.

Btw, the condescending comments don't help either. I checked out after AJ's post and responded accordingly that I didn't appreciate his tone.

I for one don’t like it either but for me I don’t let people win of there wrong and maybe I should walk away but don’t. We all are here to learn and leaving closes a door to it.
About me I have been banned for getting a dac maker admit its dac s faults
therad got locked up and deleted. Lol funny but true. Aj seems better now hahha
and I do like mike here as well.

My apologies if I came across a bit "direct". The links I provided show this is a well understood (engineering) and tested by human ears (perceptual science) issue, but of course those are areas I'm well versed in by choice, whereas a casual listener such as yourself might not be. Sometimes I take that for granted.
