I also tested two units of Lumin with DSD upsampling in a normal configuration with pre-amp, and there are only very tiny click sounds if I stand very close to the speakers. I believe what you experienced is that the tiny click sound is amplified for many times to become a loud pop, because there is no pre-amp to attenuate the signal. If you are worried that your unit may have a hardware issue, see if you can go to a Lumin dealer and compare it with another unit.

Thanks Peter, It seemed that when A1 was connected to an integrated, this issue was really small... Basically the whole misconception is that before buying Lumin I studied your website and there it was stated that it is desired to connect directly to a power amp. )) therefore I bought a power amp hegel. maybe you should remove it from the site if there is an issue with impedance matching and the pop sound? )))

I guess these diagrams are drawn to make things as simple as possible, so Amplifier means Integrated Amplifier or Pre-amp + poweramp.
) so maybe it is just me who understood it the way i did
