iFi audio hip-dac: The Official Thread

I'm listening to the hip-dac now via Tidal MQA. It sounds terrific, especially with the headphone matching light. Incredible product at a fantastic price! Question for ifi: The magenta light is lighting up to show Tidal MQA files when I use it with my Mac. When I play Tidal Master files from my iPhone, the light is green, not magenta, indicating it's not decoding MQA. Is there a problem, or are the Master files on the iPhone really not MQA? Thanks!

Thanks for your comments! Green LED indicates that what's coming out of your iDevice isn't MQA, so it might something to do with how your Tidal is set up.
