Thank you everybody. Been up since 5am trying to clean up all the debris and get life back to normal. Still no power. Cell service is spotty at best. Nothing open.

Total devastation around Ft Myers/Naples surrounding area. Scary video coming in now. We dodged a bullet yet again in Tampa

Glad you got through this Mike. My daughter lives in Cape Coral and thank god their builder built the elevation of their home up 10 ft about st level. She is one mile from Pine Island Sound. She had some roof damage, no leaks, no flooding in the home but its was 7 ft on her road and her pool screen enclosure is totally missing. NO power or water projected for weeks and weeks. She is headed this morning to Ocala until its safe to go back.

Over on the Marineland Fl side where I live in the Hammock, no damage for my stuff, but we have to get past high tide this morning at NOON. our dunes were wiped out yesterday during the passing of Ian.

SO all sandbagged and waiting.

Chris, so glad to hear you and your daughter are both ok. That was a scary one.

We are safe and our home in Naples is undamaged.
The damage from this storm particularly in coastal areas that had storm surge is beyond comprehension.

We came out fine Dave, at the cost to others south of us. Medium winds and not much rain, no large branches down.

We lived in Ft. Myers about 2 blocks from the Caloosahatchee River when Charley came through in 2004. That was a bit intense. I can't imagine Ian, being same winds but 45 mile center as opposed to 12 miles of Charley. On top of the fact that Charley was moving at 25 MPH rather than 9 MPH of Ian.

Charley and Ian tied for the 4th strongest storm to hit the USA.

Thought and prayers to anyone in the midst of the trauma and devastation.

How are all the SC and Florida 'Sharks doing now that there has been some time to assess the impact on your physical and emotional states? Here's hoping there are some positives today

Thanks Mike. Not sure any of us in this state can afford another impact this year or the next.

A roofer has already placed tarps on my daughters roof, and the neighbors are opening her windows to let some fresh air into the home. Power should be on today and water is already on but there is a boil notice.

Chris, Thank you for the update, while not what you wanted, all in one piece body wise !
