I read PS Audio is going direct sales

Bud

It was just discovered recently and is supposed to be dealt with between they and the affected owners. The problem occurred between two layers of sheet metal so it would have taken time to materialize on the outside.

Completely preventable if they had done a manufacuring FMEA in Ops...

Wonder what the COPQ on that failure mode was...

If I was intent on stirring the pot I'd post the pics here. I've chosen not to, so that defeats the pot stirring accusation.
Except, as I understand it, Audioshark will not allow you to post the pictures without the owner's permission.

This is unlikely to be granted as the owner is solely interested in resolving his issue. He does not have the desire to bash PS Audio at every opportunity as do you.

And, unlike you, he actually owns a BHK product. :hey:

Paul,

My BHK 300s are also performing extremely well, even after almost three years of daily use. Every time I think of replacing them I quickly think... why? They sound incredible.

Paul's growing exposure on Youtube may have him feeling he can take a page out of Schiit's book at higher price points. PS Audio has always been a high perceived value brand. You don't get a fancy box (and you don't pay for one). I wish him well.

Hi BSB...they really do sound incredible. I have them 5 months and they really started to sing after 350 hours of use. The BHK 300’s will be around for a long time.

That’s incorrect. It is used to predict failure modes and effects.

FMEA certified like me? Nothing to do with Six Sigma, which is basically statistical analysis. Six Sigma didn’t work too well for GE, did it?

They indeed are wonderful sounding amps.

I am certain PS Audio will get the issue with the initial production amps resolved. It is a legitimate concern for those who bought the early production amps.
