I need help troubleshooting my home audio system, please.

I'm not trying to argue. I was given options and I plan to try something on for size. I am on a budget too. I plan to try the less costly alternatives first. I will report back the results in the near future.

What I'm going to do (when I get my upgraded PC built sometimes before Halloween) is try first is one or more various software for PC first and see if my EARS even like it. Media Monkey might even be for free. JRiver is paid stuff. My upgraded PC build will also feature Window 11 Home. It could be that some computer software acts like "virtual" streamers at least in sound quality overall. Not allowing the operating system's engine to process the sound.
You are paying $1000s for a gaming pc but don't want to spend $100s for simpler and better audio. I also suspect, we want you to have better SQ than you seek.
Reminds me of a saying about describing color to a blind man (Not a comment abt you JD).

Connect your PC directly to the Marantz receiver using HDMI or a dedicated sound card. Avoid TV routing. Disable Windows Enhancements and use VLC or foobar2000. Consider upgrading to Windows 10.
