I'm giving my garage a makeover and will be adding a tv and 2 channel system. I want a speaker that can be mounted on the wall on each side of the tv. They don't have to be ultra thin. Up to 12" dp as I could even recess them into the wall a bit. 8 ohms, front ported design and I will use a sub with them.
Amp will be a Yamaha A-S2100 integrated, 90 W.@ 8ohms.. I was thinking maybe even some commercial or cinema speakers. Budget is 2K for the pair. Tannoy DC8i are a possibility. Thanks for your help

Take a look at the Goldenear Supersat or Aon series. They are sealed designs. The Supersat's are designed for wall mounting while the Aon's would need a mounting bracket or shelf.

For the SuperSat's you really need a solid and sturdy bracket, Trust me, one of mine took a dive a few years ago on the tile floor. But whats cool GoldenEar sent me a replacement.

I use these with the dedicated wall brackets. The Minis attach to the brackets through two bolts in their bottom. I am not sure if any of PSB's other models will work with brackets but the Imagine Mini Center will mount. Brackets adjust side-to-side and tilt. I am not sure how the performance compares to the other speakers you are considering but the ease of installation was a major factor for me. I have had them for years and have no desire to replace them. Performance is surprisingly good for their price and size.
