When we played inter-school sports back then it was inter-denomination. Those demerits didn't convert that well back then, but hell, we were still living in the 70s, straight in a gay gay world. :lol:

I actually went to Public School but almost all my neighbors and friends did go to Catholic schools. The main High School was Cardinal Dougherty. It was a co-ed school but the sexes were segregated somehow.
If guys were caught staring at the girls on the other side of the lunch room or down the hallway, they got Demerits for , get this, "Rape of the Eye"
I would have been in endless detention for that

When I was still in school before college (i.e. elementary, middle, and high school) and you would get in some trouble, they would always warn you that it would go on your "permanent record". Funny that I've never heard of the existence of any permanent record anytime since then! I also recall that Seinfeld had a routine about this.

Once the mods from that "other" site read this thread you will most likely be banned. I had received infractions and had stopped
contributing. Then after posting some complaints on AudioShark, I was banned. Insecurity at it's finest.

Did me a favor. I wasn't too keen with the place to begin with as they attempt to intimidate you into a "Pay to Play" membership (subscriber) status, limit functionality, and read your PMs after you pay to be able to use them.
I can only assume that many stay there because they did pay to play. I met up with several cool and kind folks there, and I think but for 1 or 2 they are all her now for all the same reasons

Especially, after entrusting my custom, that's what pushed me over the edge too.
I suppose its gets difficult for a dealer to try to manage geographical conflict that could arise when running an international storefront in the guise of a forum.

I hang there because the discussions include different equipment brands from the other sites I frequent. I do not pay so my access is limited but that works for me. As a whole, the brands on that site are a little beyond my budget but I like variety. Sites get inbred so I need to expand my gene pool by using multiple sites.

I like to read about all the gear I will never own and migrated there from people on AVS when they started the dedicated Dynaudio Forum, I have Danes. I did get some useful input about my Pathos inquiry. But for the most part, I felt a little shunned because I don't have SOTA gear or Subscriber banners. I don't feel that way here at all.

Yeah, I could not quite figure that out but it started becoming obvious. God forbid if you buy a cool pre-amp from someone else than the site owner because a member pointed out that it was available.
I also would be worried about service now had I purchased thru him. Oh well, all kinds out here on the net, just not at Audio Shark.
