I couldn't resist!

Joe,

Congratulations.:woot:

How soon before you replace the sound system? ;)

Ha!

Supposedly it's pretty good. I don't like spending big bucks on a car stereo (anymore) so I think I'll be good :)

Joe, congrats on the new T. Here's a great picnic blanket for the back seat... :yahoo1:

Very cool. I can put it in camping mode.

Thank you for the links. I don’t want any surprises.

Engage is new, Its supposed to take the place of the Telsa owners forum, which Telsa killed ( I wonder why, maybe too much of the truth or a little more negatives than they expected. ) But its good to get the latest bit of info. I think you should have held out for the Roadster. :D

congrats!! you will love it...

i test drove the model y back in june -- bar none, the absolute best car and driving experience i have had by a wide margin.

back then the waiting period was only two months, so looks like that has lengthened quit a bit. maybe the chip shortage has a small impact on that; however, judging by my experience and the number of folks lined up at the tesla dealer waiting on queue to take delivery i think insane demand is the largest reason.

If I win the lottery, the Roadster is mine!

I’d love a little more range, especially for the winter time but all in all, I think I’ll be fine.

Thank you so much. I found 2 other companies that make similar devices. I’ll check that one out.

My dryer in the garage has a 10-30 outlet. I can easily use it with the splitter for changing my Tesla. I’ll get close to 20 miles per hour of charge. That’s more than enough for my daily 80-100 mile commute.

This youtube channel has a lot of interesting geek stuff. And just posted something that may be of use to you Joe.

As a former competitive driver with six season championships & numerous other awards, I have found this to be of value (most recently was posted in FaceBook):

IMO & IME, do yourself, family & friends a huge favor:

Book several track days at your nearest competitive track. They will be more enjoyable each time, but that's not the reason I am recommending this.

And it's not about exploring the car's limits, at least not yet.

It's about finding YOUR limits in maneuvering that gorgeous hunk of metal.

Seems like every other time or so that I have a new RoomPlay Reference client, he will be in a Porsche, Maserati, Corvette, etc…

When I mention the track day - after the RPR learning/listening session – I'm continually amazed that almost none of them have ever put themselves on the track with their cars.

When they do book a track day or two, they report back at how much more confident they are when driving now, and how much more fun they are having, even in simple daily driving.

In fact, I wouldn't be alive today if my car had continued along a totally unexpected patch of ice in a curve in the mountains back in 2008. Just a few feet before the car headed off the 1800 foot drop, I managed to reverse it's direction.

Without my track experience, as well as auto-x, it would have been all over.

More fun, yet more safety! What's not to like?

Interesting. I spent 5 years roadracing motorcycles at Sonoma Raceway with AFM. Also, LOTS of track days. All those years racing and riding in track days really improved my skills as a car driver. Made me much, much smoother and also taught me about vehicle dynamics, braking, keeping the car "balanced", and "looking" into the corner, etc.

The one thing I used to hate was you'd be driving down the road & for that second or 2 you were driving as if you were riding your m/bike & taking up 2 lanes.:skeptical:

I have no clue what you're talking about. Taking up 2 lanes?

Sheesh.... When you accidentally think you are on your bike momently & are actually in your car & it is 4 times wider....Not a slur on you driving/riding skills.
