I wish I had sampled the music before buying this expensive QRP pressing! As a huge Pink Floyd fan I was utterly disappointed with the music on this much-vaunted 2LP album by the audiophile press. I give it two huge thumbs down. Very disappointed. For those who own it, what do you think? I just don't get what all the fanfare is about this album :hmmm:

I can't say I like the music but the cool soundstage effects are fun. The dog coming from behind me from the left is great!

I actually love this album, not only for the effects but I also really enjoy the music. I admit I was a Pink Floyd fan and more specifically a Roger Waters fan. I guess to each his own, but I am one that gives this album a big three thumbs up...:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I also very much like this album, both the music and the SQ 4/5. I did read before purchasing, this album for made for Roger Waters, not the audience. I also believe RW has always authored dark lyrics and on this album laments his fathers passing in WWII.

Love Pink Floyd.
amused to death bores me to tears.

Can't listen to it.

Cyril, I have never listened to this album in a whole sitting & have owned it for eons. I struggle to get past the dog.

Are you complaining about the music or the pressing, or both.?

I have the original pressing from the 90's and like others have mentioned, the album is boring oh boring.

The music and as many have mentioned it is just not striking a cord with me. The QRP

Roger Waters is a bit like Jimmy Page. Awesome in the 60's and 70's but zero relevance or decent musical output in the past 35+ years.

Love it from both a sound quality and a music perspective. I'm a big fan of Pink Floyd and both Roger Waters and David Gilmour solo efforts. As much as I dig "Amused to Death", I can fully appreciate this album is definitely not for everyone.

Excellent. Nothing better than listening to some impressive sound effects.
