Day one today, it's really a pretty sweet integrated. I'll still end up with a Shindo setup, but this is a great amp to have in the bullpen.
Any updates Joe ??
Ahhhh, so the LM is to die for, the NuVista is the martyr.....:yahoo1::woot::congrats:
how does the MF sound compared with the Vac Sigma- Mike?
Keith - I never really spent enough time with the 160i to comment. The VAC has a decent built in phonostage which is nice.
Now, Mark (MDP) had the i160 for a spell....perhaps he can try to recollect.
Of course it all depends on speakers, but my limited exposure would lean me toward the NuVista 800.
On the Salon 2's the VAC was not too good, thin sounding and not near enough power. The Nu Vista is powerful and sweet sounding, it's the best integrated I've ever heard. Of course there are a lot of integrates that I haven't heard.
Joe et al,
Are you still enjoying your NuVista 800s? I have had mine for several months now, playing through my Wilsin Sashas. I simply love it. I never get tired of listening to it. I had the MF KW500 previously (actually I still do, saving it for a second system), but after reading about the NuVista 800 on Audioshark, I went for it. It is fantastic. The Stereophile cover story/review on it this month is very nice, too.
Sorry Arsh,
I move too quickly. I loved the MF800 but I like to try different gear. I am so happy for you. I could tell from the first note how special it sounds. It has the tone and body that makes music.
Thanks for posting about it.
