GAS as in guitar acquisition syndrome. I have recently bought a Taurus model 56 classical guitar to replace my old Yamaha G231 II. It was a nice upgrade but then a concert guitar caught my eye, a Paulino Bernabe M-50. The price was decent for such a nice guitar and it would be a big step up from the Taurus. Considering it cost 10x as much it should be better. I got the guitar yesterday and I am more than pleased. It is much easier to play, has a better tone and can play much louder without sounding muddy (notes jumbling together). The trebbles, mids and bass notes ring clear and longer (better sustain). I think that this should be my last classical guitar, I love it!
But that isn't the end of the story. I didn't have a steel string guitar and cruising another forum I came across a 2005 Breedlove Masterclass Northwest steel string guitar with Myrtle wood sides and back and Sitka Spruce top. Of course I went for that one as well, it's on its way. So that's 3 guitars within one month. I think I need help.
Here are some pics of my Taurus and Bernabe guitars. The first 3 are the Taurus guitar and the second set of three are the Bernabe. They look similar in the pics but the Bernabe is made better and sounds much better.
I don't have the Breedlove guitar yet so here is a link to the ones in the listing. The figuring in the Myrtle wood is super nice.
