No comment, except to say, it has an antenna. Just in case your turntable with tubes needed Bluetooth.

Hey, if it gets more people into the “hobby”, I’m okay with it.

Yeah, I saw this yesterday and thought ‘what an odd product ‘. But hey—at least they’re trying to be innovative.

Plenty of Mac Daddies will buy one for their Hipster kids. It is still higher end than what they are buying right now in Bed Bath & Beyond.

One of the reasons I sold my McIntosh C-2300 preamp besides the fact I didn't like the way it sounded was the garish look of all the different colors of lights on the front panels. There were at least three shades of green lights, blue meters, and some red LEDs thrown in. It was all bling and sounded boring and lifeless. But, even if it sounded great, the front panel was way too distracting to me.

As I posted elsewhere.

If McIntosh doesn't continue to think out of the box it will die as Boomer's either die off or stop spending crazy amounts on this hobby. Some of the other recent McIntosh products that were derided on this and other sites have found an audience with the "next" generation.

It isn't something I may want but I''l bet my dealer gets several orders.

At $6500... really.... seems like I may have gotten out of Binghamton just in time... there must be something that has gotten in the water...

I could see a market for something like this maybe in the $2k-$3k range.... but at $6500 you are missing the mark on the market that might be interested in this. Just my opinion....

So it has optical and coax inputs and can handle up to 192khz, so obviously it has a DAC or some sort. Without a USB input it would be hard to use a basic PC, Laptop, Mac, etc., to provide digital music. It does have pre-out Main ins if you want to use it as a pre-amp for example....

Just seems like a weird limited market product to me.
