Hurricane Irma Images from The Weather Channel

Those pictures are heartbraking and hard to look at.
This storm is going to be a tough and long recovery for so many lives that were affected.

Chris.......Thanks for the Flagler Beach video. Their elevation is very close to sea level. I watched another video this morning of the damage to the rock sea wall along A1A in Flager Beach. The erosion was up to the asphalt in many areas, but surprisingly the majority of the homes survived with little to no damage. I wonder how the Flagler Beach Pier is looking.

How about your home, Chris, how are you doing?

Dan we are pretty much OK. Thanks to smart sandbagging and some expensive hurricane impact windows we had put in after Mathew (the windows replaced my plans for a new amp and speakers :sigh:) .. We and a whole lot of neighbors are going to leave our sandbags close by until the season is over. I did some volunteer work yesterday in Flagler Beach helping people remove sheet rock from some flooded homes. I'm beat, and now my feet hurt. Need new deck boots .
The Pier, is being surveyed today, from what I could get out of the county engr, some support pilings could be compromised, but the survey will tell the story. Along A1A just some beach erosion up to the payment, but most places close to the beach are ok. The roof of the Turtle Shack Rest caved in, and some homes along Beverly Beach on the beach have some major erosion problems effecting their structures.
