How You Treat People Matters, and Ultra Hi-Fi Heading into 2023

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff - Happy New Year.

After 30+ years in corporate life, I've learned often times people who say negative things about you aren't really about YOU, but about how they feel threatened by you or are jealous of you. Often times people would come to me to talk about others and I always listened with a very skeptic ear.

Stay strong, and learn from every interaction. If there was something you could have done better in this instance, learn from it. If not, then know that is the type of person they are.

Rarely will anyone (other than those who feel brave behind a keyboard on a forum) be man enough to talk with someone 1x1 about issues. I find it amazing how many people in this tiny industry act like complete asses and think it does not affect them or their employers negatively.

Keep up the good work - I love Sound Stage Ultra.

Jeff, please keep saying nice things about my speakers, otherwise %#$%^!!
;)
Happy New year, hope to see you and Doug in Feb warm and sunny Tampa

cheers,

AJ

Happy New Year Jeff,

You are in the profession long enough to understand that other people have a different view or dispute regarding opinions and your assessments.

I do not justify a reference that is inappropriate or that is not the point of the matter, but those who engage in criticism cannot come up with claims when there are those who do not accept their opinion as clear-cut, especially in such a subjective field as audio.

Overall, I really enjoy reading your columns, even if from time to time i find myself disagreeing with your opinion/reviewer due to familiarity with spacific equipment, this is life, we can't agree on everything and on every view.

Personally, too many times I have noticed that the problem starts with "keyboard warriors" who behind the screen allow themselves to write down things they would not dare to say on a daily basis.

Please continue to fascinate us with your columns in 2023 and beyond.

Happy New Year!

Thanks so much. I too agree that there will always be those that disagree and that's to be expected and healthy.

Reflecting back, the issue I referenced in the article really was my fault: I did not communicate thoroughly with a party that I should have. And that led to the issue. All is well now. Live and learn, hopefully, everyday.

Jeff

My motto has always been “It’s ok to disagree, but it’s not ok to be disagreeable.”
It has served me well, especially when I don’t fall off the wagon.
Happy New Year!
