How many audio systems do you currently own?

Car enthusiasts may own multiple vehicles. A motorcyclist may own a few bikes.

In this hobby of ours. I was curious how many systems we currently each own?

This is can be 2 channel, Headphone or Home theater.

For me, personally just one as I don't have the space.

But, the curiosity in is thinking about building a small system for fun. For example, tubes and horns.

Or, perhaps getting into headphones. At least that takes up less space and doesn't require another room.

Then part of me says to myself.. Well, I can only listen to one system at a time.

Perhaps I should just it Keep it Simple.

Then again that doesn't stop people from owning multiple cars. They can only drive one at a time

Ah decisions...

I have 5 different systems around the house. Three of them are housed in the Living Room Rack but one of those drives speakers in the family room and patio. I have both 2 channel and home theater in the Living Room also. Then another standalone 2 ch system in the Family Room. My office has a little setup also. Bedroom has a ZVOX Sound Base so that doesn't count.

One TV/ Sound Bar

And I have to count our Apple earbuds as well, as our HOA "requires" them if you are in the community with a cell phone. Really!!! But it is nice and quiet here, except for all the construction vehicles, everyone waving and yelling hello from their cars, golf carts, bicycles, the occasional panther (whistles, chirps, growls, hisses, and purrs), and Big Bubba - a huge alligator that pretty much goes wherever he desires to on the golf course ...

Some HOA rules :mock:

Three systems in the main home + headphone system.

Two systems at the summerhouse.

One system at the apartment, closer to work.

Makes seven, I guess.

3 systems

- 1 two channel
- 3 multi-channel that I just updated power and cables to with significant improvement

Dang Dan :)

For me one main audio system, also a Yamaha receiver with small Klipsch speakers for the TV, portable A&K and LCD-i4, and nice system in the car...

Thanks Dan - I feel much better responding now - only 7 (of course one of those system also feeds speakers out in the porch ceiling and another speakers in the garage) and I may cut back to only 6:lol:. For the most part for audio only, I use the 4 systems I have downstairs. For HT, I have two integrated systems downstairs and use those and the bedroom (where I have a 92 inch screen that folds into the ceiling as per the pic below).

Randy.......And that number doesn't include the Mark Levinson sound system in my Lexus.

Hehe... we used to have a Lexus with a Mark Levinson system. It was a very nice system indeed!

The Burmester system in my new Benz is amazing, especially for such a small car...

Three of mine are combo (audio and home theater): family room; master bedroom; and, of course, dedicated theater. I have one audio-only system in the billiard room (I like to shoot pool while listening to classic rock at high volume), and there is a whole house audio system (with speakers typically built into the ceilings or walls) elsewhere.
 
Some of the posts here reminded me of car audio. Although I never upgraded my current or past cars audio. Always just used the stock sound systems.

As much as I've been into audio ; just always keep it to a home system.

On many newer cars and certainly luxury cars; we have Levison (Lexus), B&O (Audi) ,etc...

So, technically an audio system on four wheels
 
It is amazing how good some of these "factory" systems are.

Back a very long time ago when I managed an audio store I had very nice after market. I remember I had a Nakamichi head unit, back when tape is what was used in a car.

I always enjoy listening to good music while driving. The Burmester system is simply stunning in my view!
 
Well, I guess I have 4 systems - 3 as shown in signature, plus the McIntosh MA6600 with JMR Offrande Supreme speakers in the bedroom.
