Headphones, headphones, headphones everywhere, all-one-speakers, boom boxes, class-D amps, new digital audio formats and much more. What is going on?

Our own online polls shows, people overwhelming people preferring digital and solid state to tubes and vinyl.

Are we witnessing a dramatic shift in high end audio? Has convenience finally trumped sonics? Do we more closely evaluate products based on convenience, appearance and lifestyle?
 
The masses always want connivence. And that's where a high end company can double even triple their bottom line.

I don't think the Highend section of the market has changed much.

Calm down Mike, The majority has always preferred Digital and SS , only in the club of 12 does analog and toobs rule ...

When I see those "headphones all I see is a look at me product with high price tag. Might as well be looking at a Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita. Big boy toys for that special 1 %

I love the look of the new Orpheus. But I've also been scoffed at by lifestylers for having a room stacked with HiFi.
