I am exhibiting my speakers at the audio show next week (The home entertainment show 2022, Long Beach). I made 2 different sounding speakers. Please choose which speakers are better for the audio show from below 2 videos.

#1

#2

Which is better for the audio show? Please post your choice. #1 or #2.

Thank you for your help!

My preference is clearly #2 which has a richer and more organic midrange tonality, given the limitations of youtube videos. Good luck at the show Alex, hope you have a successful exhibit!

I agree with Bill. #2 sounded more airy and tube like with emotion.

Do you have time to do 2 more short videos with some challenging music vs just vocals and barely any overlapping instruments? Or is this music your Target Audience?

Would bringing both be an option? That way you have them there if anyone was interested and your brand doesn't get locked into one sound signature.

Could you list few of those music?
Thank you!

Here are a few I would like to hear as demos anywhere as opposed to a single female voice and a couple of notes.

Keb Mo - More than One Way Home
Crimsom Jazz Trio - I Talk to the Wind
Jeff Kollman - 3 A.M. from Guitar Screams Live
Primus - Tommy the Cat or Amos Moses
Larry & Lee - L.A. Underground
Quidam - Sanktuarium (Sanctuary) from Strong Together Live
Kevin Gilbert - Goodness Gracious

Cheers!

Yes. It is hard to hear the difference with Ipad's tiny speakers. May be ear/headphone with Ipad will help you to hear better.

Your hearing is right on. More mid-range on #2 speakers. I think 70-80% of music is better off with #2 speakers. #2 speakers will be played for the most of time at the show. However, depends on music, some recording with clear mid-high frequency imaging are to die for with #1 speakers.

Thank you for comment and kind words!

Yes. I am taking them both speakers. I need a back up speakers anyway. Also, every rooms are different and anything can happen with the sound. Though, the show location is only 20 minutes driving from my shop. My audio set up is very simple and light. My whole audio system consists an Oppo dvd player, a shoe box size integrated amp, and smallish bookshelf speakers.

I will play few familiar/well-known songs at the show. That way, guests will hear how my sound is different from what they've heard.

I might record songs you list and upload in Youtube if I can download them. Downloading Ytube video is harder than before.

Many thanks for all members comments!

Can you take both pairs to the show before the public arrive and see which sounds best in the room you've rented? Room acoustics probably more significant than the difference between the 2 pairs. Peter

Update
The SHOW 2022 Long Beach is finished. It was a very good exhibition for my set up.
As for an update of original thread here, I totally changed exhibit speakers before the show. The responses of members are half and half. Some like #1 speakers mid-high freq. And others liked #2 speakers mid range better. So, I made a new sounding speakers with mixture of both #1 and #2 speakers' stronger characters. These new sounding speakers did very good job at the show.
I appreciate very much to all members who gave me excellent opinions.
