Hi, my issue, I'm not receiving my emails from Audio Shark when a post is made to a thread I'm subscribed to. I checked with Mike and he says I'm the only one who has said anything. I checked my profile and my settings are the same, to where I should receive the updates via email.

Also, possibly related, when I go to "New Posts" it may say there is 6 posts but when I get into the thread the is sometimes more than stated.

So....
1. Is everyone still receiving emails from AS letting you know someone posted?

2. If so, any idea what my issue may be?

Nothing has changed on my computer, using IE11 and never upgraded to Win10, still have 8.1. Same email address.

Interesting. I am not receiving notifications of new private messages. I need to see what's going on too.
 
I stopped getting them earlier in the week and before that they were showing up hours later and sometimes out of order.
 
Here is a check list to understand what's going on:

1- Please visit your subscriptions page, here:
http://www.audioshark.org/subscription.php

Are the thread you are suppose to get notification listed there? (Click VIEW ALL SUBSCRIPTIONS too). First we need to make sure, thread was successfully being subscribed to.

If thread is listed there, check "notification" column and confirm it also writes "INSTANT" there.

If that is also confirmed, it means that you are really suppose to get a "1" notification per thread after a new reply is made there. Please note that you are suppose to get only 1 NEW MESSAGE notification per thread until you visit the board. This means that if 3 people added 3 replies to that thread, forum will notify you ONLY for the first one. The other 2 will not be notified to you UNTIL you visit the board. After you visit the board, another 1 NEW reply will again be send to you.

Forum does not send ALL new replies because it does not want to flood your mail box.

2- If you are also aware of that fact and you even do not get the first new reply, please change your email address here:
http://www.audioshark.org/profile.php?do=editpassword

If possible try a gmail address. Hotmail and yahoo is not very successful in handling forum notifications as they can easily see them spam. Let's see if your gmail address will get these notifications or not.

Probably the North Koreans have hacked into your account so they can stay up on the latest audio trends. Seriously, I have never cared enough to set up my account to receive notifications anytime someone posts to a particular thread. Sorry I can't be of any help.
 
Thanks for the response. I did know the tips on how the email alerts work, I used to get them fine, something just recently caused it to change, based on a couple other posts here it seems it wasn't just me, maybe a change to the site.

I think I'd rather just visit opposed to dealing with another email address :) My address ends in att.net, they did go through Yahoo but I forget who now.

Thanks for posting this out. New members weren't getting confirmation emails either. Technology! Ugh!
