Help me understand why I would need a DAC

Beisdes those techinical factor, it's also a mood and preferences factor. Which kind of music do you listen to (eletric music isnt well recorded compare to classical music) and when do you listen to music during the day, how do you listen to it (as a background noise?)
I performed a blindtest with piano and classical music (lossless vs mp3 320kps) and I can hear the diffrences between onboard soundcard and a decent dac (ODAC)
