Old fart audiophile here.

Been into good sound ever since I started as a wee lad in 1971.
First system was a Lafayette 50w p/ch integrated, AR XA turntable and home made speakers.
In 1972 added a Sony TC353 R2R.

Retired Hi-tech executive now spending my days, enjoying my current system and petting the dogs.

Cheers.

Hello. You'll fit right in, everyone here is an old fart, except me, LOL

Do you still have the R2R? Seems those are making a bit of a comeback now.

No, the RTR is long gone. The only tape deck I have is a Sony Professional (no serial copy management) DAT machine (PCM-R500) that was initially purchased in 2000 as a mastering deck for my home studio. The studio is gone, but the DAT deck is in service in my main system. Has always worked great.

Welcome Dogs. I'm a young toot but have enough life experience to still stink up the place.

I hope you enjoy your time here!

LOL. Welcome. We started audio around the same time, with close to the same gear. Not retired yet though. Work keeps me mentally sharp (I think/hope), and I love the paychecks. :)
