I hope our members affected by Helene are doing OK. I know recovery is your highest priority now. But when you get a chance, please let us know how you are doing. Just a few words to let us know you are safe.
Thx for the well wishes. People on the Gulfcoast are taking Milton very seriously. If it stays on it’s current track, we’ll see significant flood and wind damage.
Just got power back this morning at 1:47 am. Wow !, 14" of rain and we had gust up to 84 mph. No damage except 8 screen panels in the pool enclosure and all the food in the fridge is already thrown out. Some limbs, twigs and on the golf course a few pine old pines are laying down and around town a lot of trees and limbs down.. But life is good, raking the yard and helping other neighbors.
Survived. Lost power, storage shed with generator destroyed by neighbors 60' oak tree which came down during 100+ mph gusts. Street blocked east of me by an even larger tree. Got power back on Friday, so I guess I'll count my blessings. Still a huge mess here in Tampa with many without power and non functional traffic lights etc.
All good Mike! Really glad to know that. I was stateside last month and actually was in Tampa for a quick visit to some old friends of mine from college. I was really concerned when we got to see some of the coverage of Milton and Helene!
Good to know that all is well in our favorite candy shop!
