Hi,
I have been very happily using HD12 for several years, but recently Windows stopped recognizing the device (most of the time).
After I log in sometimes it would take very long time (could be up to an hour) to finally recognize the device as present, but more often it does not recognize the device at all.
I tried re-installing the drivers - it first forced me to uninstall already installed drivers and reboot which I did, but when I tried running the setup again I've been getting the following popup (after which I can't continue with installation):

'Please connect the CMEDIA USB2.0 Audio Device'

This pops up in spite of the device being connected via USB and turned on.
Has anyone seen this problem? I tried emailing Hegel but no response.

Thanks for any help/info.

Sometimes, especially after some windows updates the best way is to uninstall all USB-Audio drivers and install again, but You did it. You should contact with Hegel - the fastest way is writing to them via FB fanpage. And please check which drivers You're using, because on Hegel page are two types Windows drivers - for older system versions, and for Windows 10.

Thanks. I will try to contact them on FB (they did not reply to my direct email). And I am trying to use the correct windows drivers for windows 10 (I eveb tried the other package just to be sure and the installation script poped up a message about not compatible with windows 10 and exited).

Still no idea about the USB issue, but I was able to switch to using optical input on the HD12 (from my Realtek HD card). This setup also allows me to also play all my files (from JRiver), including 192/24 wav & flac, as well as dsd - and all sounds as great as via USB interface.
