Heco Direkt

I paid for them in early December but then learned they weren't in stock and were coming from Europe. Almost a month later they still hadn't arrived so I canceled the sale and got a refund. They're still on my list but got a pair of Evolution Acoustics MMicroone's and Diapason's to play with in the meantime. Both are pretty awesome.

I looked long and hard a couple of months ago at a used pair of the MM Ones but then looked at the room with the "extra" speakers in it and let it go. The Heco's would have to for me best the Spatial M3 Turbo S so an owner perspective would have been valuable. As you said "one day."At the moment I am waiting to see how the half a dozen guys on AC that pre-ordered Clayton's new X-1 react when they finally get them in their rigs. They though in addition to the over three times the price of the M3 require a second stereo amp and a MiniDSP.

The Hecos are great, heard them at the Windsor hifi show, and I could not believe how a speaker costing 2700 could produce such orchestral music. It had a direct drive TT (STS Motus) and 25w low cost SET amps. They just fit into small rooms great too, won't boom, will create a nice panel like soundstage, musical.

I really want these Heco speakers.

Bonzo,

So how good are they? Seriously?

The same retailer I purchased mine from has a new pair on AG for $2,500. That's what I paid. I believe the retail is around $3,300 or so. Now's the time to pull the trigger if you really want them, Joe.

Ah Joe get them all and the weed out the ones you can't live with

Hahahahaha

How do you like them? I sent an email to the guy but never got a response. I figure if he was eager to sell, he'd respond.

Read my earlier posts in this thread. They hadn't arrived almost a month after I paid so I canceled my order and was refunded the purchase price.

That's what I thought. But your post confused me. I sent a message confirming he had them in stock and if they were in fact coming from MA, no response. So that worries me a bit because I do not want a repeat of your experience.

Joe

Try the Heco, something different than JBL but just as efficient and maybe more room friendly. Other similar option would be the Spatial if you can get over to Fred's to hear them with his Lampi amps. Either should be great with the Triode amps. Also the reason his price is so attractive is that he is just processing the orders and they are being drop shipped from the factory.

Don't doubt he is legit and has been around a while. With some of these unknown, except from 6 Moons, brands though he may just keep a store demo and then the customers order comes from the factory in Europe. Would be hard to survive as a retailer with a stock room full of of these brands as good as they may be. Even with long standing brands like Vandersteen if you don't want the model the dealer has in stock your's has to be ordered from California and built. I waited about six weeks for the Treo's.

I have a pair of the Heco Direkt coming from a Canadian distributor I deal with. He wanted me to try them out and I was very curious as well. If all goes well, I'll have them on the weekend. If not, then I'll have them Monday. I'm quite intrigued by them!

Looking forward to your opinion.
