Hearing the amplifier

Maybe because the 458 was giving darTZeel a "bad rep" as an expensive brand, they released a $15k integrated amp a few years ago, the LHC-208. Same design principles, but simplified further to get the price down.

Sure, the Pass Labs integrated is cheaper still ($9000), but the darTZeel comes with a killer DAC and a streamer built-in.

As I said, the darTZeel integrateds are great value for money, once people give them a chance. But as has been mentioned earlier, the dearth of dealers for the brand doesn't help in getting that word out...

I never heard of Tidal before going to Axpona a couple years ago, I thought the gear sounded incredible, so don't judge gear on only what you see on forums. Thrax is new to the U.S. and excellent gear, I've yet to see that in a signature.

And, the price issue was already pointed out, the Fremer review stated a price then of $135k, not sure if that's for one or the pair. Either way a small fraction of my audio budget.
