Hi Guys,
I just picked up a Burson Soloist 3X and I'd like the cord a little longer. I'm using Hi-Fi Man He-560 headphones and the stock 3m cable with a 4pin XLR connector on the amp end. The hi-fi shop where I bought the Burson has checked with Hi-FiMan and nothing in stock at the moment. Any thoughts would be gladly excepted. Thanks, Jack

Some cable companies make cables for certain brands, aftermarket. Cardas makes a good selection. Not sure if they've gotten into Hifiman yet. Maybe run a quick search for Hifiman replacement cable and see what comes of it.

After hearing Hifiman at the show I ended up picking up a set on sale. I don't do much headphone listening so I got just an entry set.

Good to see you post as well, you'll have to come around more.

I did a quick search and didn't turn up much, some inexpensive replacements and a company called Etsy which I'm not familiar with.

If you contact most any of the Internet Direct cable suppliers like Triode Wire Lab, Audio Sensibility, Audio Envy, etc. they all make and sell headphone cables to order.

Moon Audio extension cables are reasonably priced and good quality. You can also choose gold, rhodium, balanced, unbalanced connectors, etc.

Hart Cable $ will make a cable to your specs. And the prices are good.
Maze cables. $$
Audiophile Ninja cables $
Moon Audio $$$
And a whole lot more if you google custom headphone cables.

Good to hear from you. I had a couple bumps to navigate to find the right cable. I needed 4 pin XLR and I wanted 16.5 feet or longer. When you start adding feet on, the price starts to go up quickly. How's things going with you?

I am doing well Jack. I was wondering where you were and how things were. Good to see you are still in the game.

Cheers!

Geography wise I'm still in Delaware. I picked up a new turntable and phono pre back in 2018 and lately I've been upgrading my headphone setup. We just made our last mortgage payment so I should have a bit of extra money if I get the itch as I did with the headphone rig.

One of these days we will have to plan a get together, you are not that far. We spent a week in Rehobeth last month and doing it again next year.

Congrats on paying off the mortgage, luckily I did that 15 years ago but still have 7 more years til full retirement.
