I purchased the shunyata sigma usb and was truly floored by the difference in clarity, ive really been enjoying my cardas clear reflection interconnects and SC’s but i felt again how much better can i get , i would like a little more focus and clarity on the upper end. Im thinking about trying shunyata delta v2 , cardas clear , IC and SC id like to try clarus crimson but dont know who lends those out i dont have a local dealer. Or if there are other brands worth trying.

This is in my jbl 4367s and mcintosh c1100/mc275 system. i really love the deep bass and warm full midrange of the cardas clear reflection , goal would be to gain some clarity and focus without losing the warmth and slam.

Thoughts?

I use Crimson and have same speakers. Crimson provides a very quiet background and highs are very good, I'm using Levinson and things like cymbals are pristine and inviting to listen to, no fatigue at all, in fact, the highs I enjoy spoil me when listening to others systems whose high end isn't as enjoyable while having as good or better gear. I did contribute much of my pleasure to the JBL drivers. Bass and mids are equally as good, you seemed to be most interested in nice highs though.

I've tried some Wire world and Analysis Plus before but never compared to Cardas or Shunyata. A friend used Cardas Clear in a system and his goal was to have his system as neutral as possible.

There is an online retailer who will allow a return of Clarusif not happy but they charge a restocking fee. Maybe give Clarus a call and see if they know of a dealer or will help you out. I will say in using Clarus the result gets better as more of the same brand is added to the system. I use them from AC outlet to speaker terminal. The speaker cables are pretty expensive especially if you have a longer run. Clarus was helpful to me when I needed help resolving an issue. Nothing to do with their product, a purchase issue with the online retailer I mentioned.

Have you played with the controls on front of your speakers to see if that helps? Also, play with toe in if you haven't, positioning in general. In my room I found I like less toe in than the equal triangle set up. 4367 can also be closer to back walls than some other speakers. Less toe in cleared up the bass some but moreimportantly gave better sound stage. I've played with the controls but always end up back at flat. Notice the controls operate opposite of each other, one increases to the right and the other decreases.

Oh yea I’ve played around with all the front controls i also leave it flat. In my room i prefer a little more toe in i have the right pointing at my left shoulder and vise verse. I would say im more of a bottom up guy when it comes to sound. Just looking for more focus and clarity in the upper registers.

I went out to my local dealer today and borrowed shunyata delta v2 ICs and SCs i must say the clarity is what i was looking for much more focus and clarity so much so i dont think i can go back now. but i miss the cardas bass and lower mid fullness. Dont know how many hours these have ill see how they run in for a week or so.

If i could find something that combines exactly the best if both id be set looking into trying crimson.

Update

I currently have on hand

Wireworld platinum 8 usb
Shunyata sigma v2 usb
Cardas clear rev 1 xlr
Cardas clear reflection xlr
Cardas clear reflection speaker
Shunyata delta v2 xlr
Shunyata delta v2 speaker
Zenwave dsr xlr
Zenwave d4 xlr
Zenwave scr-14 speaker
Powercords are from vhaudio / some factory cords

I think my wife may be ready to shoot me lol I think ive tried every possible combination several times over the past several days in our living room where this system resides.

Equipment is McIntosh c1100 preamp , McIntosh mc275 amp , jbl 4367 speakers

The wining combination is without a doubt

Shunyata sigma v2 usb connecting my streamer to my holo may dac

Zenwave dsr xlr connecting the holo may dac to the c1100 preamp. The tonality smoothness clarity and focus is undeniable without being harsh in the slightest

Shunyata delta v2 between pre and amp , I felt this was the right balance , the d4 was too much the shunyata has the focus of the zenwave but mellows out the sound. I would be interested in a zenwave copper ribbon xlr interconnect.

Zenwave scr-14 speaker cables again The tonality smoothness clarity and focus is undeniable if anything id like a little more bottom end weight so I thing the scr11 is the solution.

Next up i want to get wireworld platinum xlr and Eclipse 8 speaker cables, shunyata alpha v2 xlr , clarus crimson xlr and speaker cables , audio sensibility signature speaker cables

Wireworld eclipse 8 speaker cables
Wireworld platinum eclipse 8 xlr
Shunyata alpha v2 xlr

on the way

tried a full cardas clear reflection loom and a full shunyata delta v2 loom just got the powercables , shunyata was much clearer and focused then cardas but with weaker bass. i have a full wireworld loom coming. as well as im requesting zenwave power cords to test.

I have some power cords im evaluating with my system

Audioquest hurricane hc
Shunyata delta v2
Shunyata alpha v2
Vhaudio flavor 4
Zenwave audio PCR-11
2 McIntosh factory cords
Ifi supernova

Im still using the winning audio cables from above except i traded up to the shunyata alpha v2 between the preamp and amp.

yea i reached out to them and they said to contact a dealer. closest dealer to me is out of state and wouldn't loan anything. had to buy with restocking fee if returned.. nah. i really wanted to try them.

ill tell you im quite happy with the synergy of what ive been able to put together.
