My sister is cleaning out a house for an in-laws estate sale...found some gems including a Tube RTR...but she found for me a NEW IN BOX Lenco L70 Turntable....that's from 1959 !!! They were ugly as sin broadcast tables...but very highly regarded and rare...but new ? WOW...No base , just the table but I am thinking I can get it in the OTTO case I have been holding on to....

This is what they look like (4 speed machine 78, 45, 33 and 16...what the heck is 16 ?)

Nice!! That's a great find and brand new!! Congrats
Think you need to go get some lumber and build your own sweet base for it.

Congratulations on your new found GEM! Simply gorgeous.

I have always wanted a Lenco but the model is 75. This one is "new" to me, before my venture into the hobby.

You will love it! Once again, congratulations.

Nice! I have one just like that under the Bogen/Presto badge, and another B/P with a different paint scheme. There's plinths on the bay, you say? I need another. I have one for one of mine but need another. Did you get the metal idler wheel? Mine are both plastic :(. They're meant for a future project. A line that is very very long. Especially as summer approaches and I venture outside.

Not sure what it has..its currently 3000 miles away in NY...LOL...Sister is shipping it to me in its original box...she opened it enough to say..Looks brand new, its just the table, no base...SO excited to play with it !!

And I KNOW about those project lines...LOL...

Thanks guys..nice to share this stuff with good folks...

Did you ever get this table running? I finally tackled mine a few days ago. Slapped a Linn Basik Plus arm on it that I had laying around. The Lenco guys seem to like the stock arm, I thought it was terrible (and I tried two of them, with low compliance carts but no...terrible by modern standards). I love it. In fact, it rivals my VPI in many ways, but there's also a lot of money in upgrades on it. TTweights platter, fancy Stillpoints feet, etc, and a plinth made by a friend who I knew from my days on AK.

Awesome John ! Beautiful...and no, I did not get it. I let her sell in locally in NY ...would have been a shipping issue for her and well, I just didn;t need it. Now I am back in the swing and buying tables...sheesh..timing...

Nice work on the table...good idea on replacing the arm !

It really is fantastic. Next up is my TD-124. I have to say, listening to this table for 5 minutes answers more questions than reading 100 online arguments about whether or not the idler-craze has any merit.

Thank you. It's displaced my VPI Classic/Shelter 501 combo for a week so far, so it's got promise. Not that I'm ditching the Classic. The Zyx Yatra is a great match for the Lenco/Linn Basic+.
