Howdy folks,
Paris may sound exotic but IT ISN’T. Anyway, 54 year old idiophile here who got into hifi at age 13. Had lots of gear throughout the last two centuries including Wadia, Audio Research, Musical Fidelity, Micromega, YBA, Jadis separates, Marantz, Cambridge audio, Magnepan, Martin Logan, Sonus faber...you get the picture. Now I’m poor and looking for better price to quality ratios. Went to full streaming a few years ago and haven’t spun a CD in ages and vinyl is but a fond memory. One thing has remained constant: my absolute hatred and disdain for poor sound. My wife has no idea what I’m talking about half the time. Currently running full Jadis tubes to Sonus fabers on the main rig. Goofing around with tubes for more than 20 years has tired me out and now looking to see what the new class D can do...
