so excited! just got a pair of harbeth 30.2 speakers from Mike Bovaird.!! super! a BIG improvement. room is 13 by 13, so they are plenty for that room size. they are great with baroque music, Beatles vocals, all types. what an improvement. mike is always a great help!!!!

they are not too big to manage, and fit on stands. can really recommend them.
I use a tube, integrated amp. 50 watts class A power.

best regards,

bob

I was married for a long time and we always had an audio system. In all the time we were married my wife never commented on any of the speakers we owned. However, the first time we sat down to listen to the Harbeth 30.1's, she turned to me and said "now that is perfect".

I assume that some time down the road I'm going to be forced to downsize again and the speakers of choice will be Harbeths.

It was great to visit with you in Boston Bob. Next time the Mai Tai’s are on me!

Congrats on a fabulously musical system. The Statement Triode Integrated (KT88) is plenty powerful and the REL subs are keepers.

The 30.2 Anniversary Speakers on those gorgeous stands from Ton Trager are so Musical and engaging. A big step up from the B&W’s.

Big congratulations Bob, Mike was telling me about your system and how happy you are with everything. I absolutely love your enthusiasm and excitement. I’m so happy for you. Enjoy!

fantastic bob , i heard several pairs of harbeth and a number of friends have them . i recently had to sell my verity audio speakers and the harbeth sound is very close to the verity sound . i.e very natural and very emotional sound . i too hope to have a pair of harbeths next year and the factory closes tommorow for christmas .

Congratulations Bob! The 30.2s are wonderfully musical and have a beautiful finish. Enjoy in good health.

THANK YOU, ALL OF YOU!!! those were very kind wishes from you all! although I am older, I am a beginner in many ways. I have learned what tube/solid state means, class A, A/B amps, etc. push pull, single ended. moving magnet, moving coil, etc. the last year and a half have been a truly revolutionary experience for me.

I feel I have an experienced ear, have played violin in orchestras, and quite often attend the Boston Symphony. I know what a live orchestra sounds like. I have heard the Berlin Philharmonic do Beethoven's fifth and sixth. I have heard Paul McCartney live.
I really cannot speak to today's prices, BUT, the Harbeth are in NO way comparable to my Bowers and Wilkins. the high notes are just as clear but NOT harsh, the bass is full, and my two REL subwoofers now just blend in, invisible. the mid range is beyond belief. especially gratifying are voices; think, Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles, Over the rainbow by Eva Cassidy, rich and warm Bach, Corelli,Vivaldi. I have yet to play the Berlin Philharmonic, that will be today. I bet I will like it. the Bowers tired out my ear, maybe that was the harsh highs.

while I am still shocked at today's prices, the Harbeth speakers are amazing, beyond belief. Paul McCartney is in the room with you. The addition of these speakers took my system up many many levels. not a small improvement, a stupendous transformation

THANK YOU Mike Bovaird. in no way could I buy $100,000 speakers, but these are so good I cannot believe I would need better. my room is just 13 by 13 feet, these are plenty plenty plenty.

thanks to all of you for your help over the last year and a half.
best regards,
bob

Bob, if you want to experience a truly haunting song on the 30.2, try out Leonard Cohen's 'It Seemed the Better Way'. It is a must on these speakers.
