Got my DALI Epicon 2 today!

^ Connecting two speakers to the same post wouldn't cause an impedance problem? And yes, the DALIs are the main front speakers.

Or just go with this . One end ( single ) other end ( bi-wire )

No it won't. Again, in a situation where you have an amp with a double post the same happens within the amp. It is not like you have a separate amplification circuit because in that case it would be called bi-amping.
The double cable will help in the feedback problem over the majority of the distance.

Yeah that is a great option too!
You meant two speaker cables right ? That's what Glareskin( sorry I do not know your name ) meant.

biwire
Thanks for the great visualization Paul. That is exactly what I meant!
The name is Hans.:hi:

Oh, my wife would just love those Kimber garden hoses! Thanks for the info...I'll give it a shot.

Apologies for dragging up a two year old thread...

Just wondered if the OP was still loving the Epicons two years in? Reviews of this speaker are few and far between, but a brief listen to a pair suggested they'd be worth further investigation.

Thanks Joe - and again apologies for the thread resurrection.

There's nothing like a home demo - but hearing from long term owners would help steer me.

By the way, the rest of the system will be Bryston B135 integrated, plus TT and digital sources, in a small room (4.2m x 3.1m - that's about 14ft x 10ft).

No apology necessary. We are glad that you are here. I hope to see John report back soon. Last activity was last week.

Yikes--I haven't checked this thread in quite a while. Yes, I still love them--even more so now that I've traded in my Pass Labs INT-150 for a PrilumaLuna HP! The tubes just make these speakers sing. Oh, I occasionally think about what might be better--Martin Logan Montis? Vivid Audio B-1, Vienna Acoustics Liszt? Wilson Audio Sabrina? B&W 803D3? (limiting cost to $16K or so), but I'm quite happy with the DALIs.

I had the Epicon 2's for a few months and definitely miss them. Gorgeous looking, resolute, smooth, natural, coherent, grain less, clean and very quiet(low self noise). I wish I still had them so I could hear what they can do now that I have sorted out some room and equipment issues.

They also play all types of music well and sound big.

Alas they are smallish two ways and I have since moved to floorstanding three ways but there is no doubt they are accomplished performers and in many ways best what I have now (Focal 1028be).
