I have been obsessing over the past three years whether to buy the Opera Consonance d-Linear 15 power conditioner and finally went for it. Considering how much I have invested in my main system, it made sense to spend some money on a power conditioner/surge protector. I ordered one through Grant Fidelity and a couple of weeks later it has arrived (thanks Ian and Rachel)!

It came well packed in a large box and looks great. I haven't really auditioned it much yet as it took a bit of time reconnecting all the power cords. I don't have much room behind the racks and there is no room to move them forward. I will post my listening impressions after it has been in my system for a while but right from the start, it seems to have increased detail and made the background very quiet on CD playback. Perhaps the reduction in noise is the reason (I have many lights and pumps going from many aquariums). So far I am a happy camper.:audiophile:

Albert - congratulations on your new Consonance! I'd be curious to know whether there was any duty or additional brokerage fees due upon its delivery. I look forward to your further impressions in due time. Enjoy the tunes!

I tried to upload some pics but for some reason I could not see them when I went to manage your files. I will try again. Nope, still no go. Maybe the pics can be viewed through a link to another site:Got my Consonance d-Linear 15 today! - AudioKarma.org Home Audio Stereo Discussion Forums

For taxes and duty Opera only put a value of $300 on the d-Linear 15 (I had no idea). I ended up only paying $82, I guess I got lucky. Thanks Opera.
