Goodbye Sonus Faber Guaneri Evolutions...hello?????

A couple years ago I heard Thrax Audio at a show, their speakers were these incredible stand mount, I belief called Lyra. I thought Thrax was entering the U.S. market but not sure if they're here. If you can find them those stand mount are worth checking out. While I was in there they played an LP with some deep bass, I asked and kept looking, no sub, the bass I was hearing would give some floorstanding speakers shame. The speaker sounded great overall, it's just you don't typically hear that wide of range from a stand mount.

Thank you for the replies everyone. Even though I got the upgrade bug I want to make sure the next speaker I get is truly an improvement over what I currently have, which I am very happy with. I am constrained by a small room so I would prefer either a standmount or floorstanding speakers that is not too large.

I know "improvement" is very subjective in our whacky hobby so my main goal is to seek out speakers that technically push the envelope of standard speaker design. A couple of things I have been zeroing in on is phase and time coherence, single source drivers, and cabinet design. At this point I am still researching and trying to learn about the merits of each design concept. Pls keep the recommendations coming. I am learning a lot!

So far the speakers that have caught my attention are:
Boenicke W8
Gryphon Mojo S
Raidho D1
TAD Compact or Micro Evolution

Not to bust your bubble, but do you have room treatment installed? They made my old speakers sound 2x better.

There are more designer type options out now worth exploring. Probably more a pain but there are also treatmens on footers/stands so you can remove and store when not in use. Last resort, do what you can to add room friendly diffuses or flat surface damping, ie. rugs, tapestry etc.

I do agree that there are many ways to skin a cat. One example was how the SRA platform under my amplifier improves the overall sound. That includes the power cables and interconnects as well. All these were perceivable improvements to the overall sound and it adds up. Even the NOS tubes I upgraded from the stock changes the entire ball game. Also power conditioners...it’s amazing. Plenty to explore and do...

Thanks guys. Yes I have room treatments and do active room correction via convolution. Given the physical constraints of my room, I believe I have maximized the performance of these speakers which as I said I really like. I am now wondering if there is more I can achieve by looking at different technologies and designs.
