As another year approaches, I look back at 2025 and list what I am grateful for and look to how I hope to improve myself (lots of work needed on that-LOL) and life in general.
Do you guys do something similar? Here's my list:
First, the gratitude.
- I’m incredibly blessed to have my niece and nephew in my life. They bring a smile like nothing else can.
- My amazing wife.
- My Greek Church, which continues to ground me and remind me what truly matters.
- My good audio friends who mean the world to me and whose opinion and guidance I appreciate more than they will ever know.
Being able to share my love of music and audio with you all and you sharing your thoughts/gear with us is something I truly love.
And like any honest reflection, it’s also important to look at opportunities for growth.
In 2026, I’m committed to:
• Continuing to recover and strengthen after my neck injury;
• Finding ways to create even more unique, one-of-a-kind gear content more consistently (I'm backed up about 17 videos worth of gear);
• And most importantly, focusing more on the good in fellow audio enthusiasts, while learning to better ignore the nitwits.
Patience and simply ignoring the noise will be key.
I’ll be honest — I put a lot of time, effort, money, and passion into what I do. And sometimes, when you care deeply, it’s easy to become defensive (sometimes warranted, other times not so much).
If I’ve ever responded too quickly or too strongly in the past to you, I hope you’ll accept this as my pledge to keep growing, learning, and handling those moments with more grace.
At the end of the day, acknowledging our errors and weaknesses and trying to change is the key to growing as a person, regardless of how old we are. As a god friend was telling me last night, life is too short to waste energy on nitwits or holding animosity towards people.
