kev i been checking these out. im trying to find a place to go hear them. they are 100dbsensitivity and run from2w-400w. ad are listed at $3200 perfect for what i want to use them for and wont break the bank.!!!!

I know a guy that sells them & really loves them, he has good judgement, sells Manley too.
 
Anybody with any experience with Trenner & Friedl? I have a friend who's wants to send me some RA-Box. I know they're a little expensive compared to alternatives. I trust this friend, has a good ear.
 
Make sure you check out the latest Vaughn speakers with the plasma drivers at 97db efficiency. These were raved about from all the review mags at at 2014 RMAF show. Plasmas are beyond belief.

Hello to all. New here...
You guys are way outta my league dollar-wise. I experiment with vintage - I'm using University Master Series S6 (3 way, made mid-50's) powered for awhile with a tube preamp and Stromberg-Carlson ASR-422, and have all the sound I could hope for (now using an Onkyo A7 Integrated). I'd look into early coaxial Pioneers and Corals, and would experiment with open baffles. VINTAGE: A REAL SOUND EXPERIMENT, which is governed by your ears only - like being a cook and cooking for yourself, for your taste...

Do you work on any vintage Sony gear? That's how I got my start in this hobby. Sony, Pioneer, Marantz and Akai.

Absolute the best vintage speakers to own are the Acoustat Monitors with the DD servo tube amps. No other ESL's can match those today and they were built in 1976-78. I know one person recently bought an unused pair for $750 and someone in Canada gave a pair away couple of years ago, if you came by and picked them up. Now how crazy is that?
