Goldmund Telos 590 NextGen

Anyone got one? Or an opinion about it? As a very happy Job 250 owner I can't help being attracted to what Goldmund does, and while at the same time I'm trying to "downscale" and looking towards an integrated solution, this one pops up as highly interesting to me. Could it maybe be the "scaling up" while "scaling down" alternative I'm looking for?

I'm also extremely satisfied with my preamp (Music First Baby Reference v2) which is magical in my system and this is maybe one of the main concerns I have about going integrated, can the built-in volume control possible be on the same level, or anywhere even near that of my separate preamp?

Any thoughts?

I’m sure properly designed integrated amps are wonderful. My Job INTegrated in great on my Duo XD as well as other not so difficult to drive speakers.

I’ve always loved Job/Goldmund gear and while that piece above is probably somewhat expensive, I’m sure it sounds great.

In another week or two, I’ll be trying the Job 250 monos with my Misho Wooden preamp on my Duo. I’m sure it’s going to be a killer combo.

I still think this Goldmund integrated looks very interesting, but in the end I opted for a bit more well known alternative around here and an amp that actually has local presence in my region. My Ypsilon Phaethon also share some similar technology around transformer based preamp section which I appreciated so much with my Music first preamp as I mentioned in the original post, which made the decision even easier. But I still react every time I see this Goldmund piece, but I've yet to hear it though.

Thank you! I was a while ago since I bought it now, but I'm still very happy with it and feel that it's not going anywhere for many years.... :)

The Goldmund integrated amps are great value ( in some countries) and give a very sweet and fast sound. If i was looking for an integrated amp it would be amongst my short list together with Vitus and a few others.

Congrats! This is a great amp! I have heard it at a local dealer and then at show. It would definately be on my short list when shopping for an integrated, next to Vitus SIA-025.

This thread was started more than a year ago and I'm not looking for a new amplifier anymore, but it was a great review and if it had been available at the time things could maybe have ended up differently. Quite funny though how the reviewer actually owns the bigger sibling of the speakers I'm now currently looking at from Kroma Audio! Seems like me and this guy have a very similar taste.... :)
