George Cardas has one gorgeous system

"Blue in Green", performed by The Beckstrom/Corbett Unit. ...Released in 2005 on Cardas Records.

P.S. The music you hear is not from the album (it is only for the video's purpose).
The music is from a music download file (FLAC - 44/16).
1. Click on the Music logo at the left.
2. Then click on Download from Formats.
3. And finally right-click on the link of that tune ('Blue in Green') that you like to save the file (free) to your computer (PC or Mac).

Beckstrom/Corbett Unit - who the heck are they? Ohhh, only downloadable from Cardas directly. Not something commercially available. Too bad, sounds nice.

Why can't he just play some Miles Davis like anyone/everyone else?
...Miles's avail on LPs, CDs, HDCDs, SACDs, hi-res audio download files, mp3s, tape cassettes, open-reel-tapes, 8-track cassette tapes, DVDs, Laser Discs, Blu-rays, VHS tapes, ...

Beautiful system. What is the purpose of raising the speaker cables off the floor? I've seen this before but never found an answer.

OMG! How can George play that crap and actually look happy listening to it?????

Bob, I'll never understand how people can listen to that mindless junk and/or use it in a video/demo. Miles Davis would be a great improvement.

Don't be harsh to each his own. I find vibes based jazz is a great way to appreciate the air, harmonics and slow decay of the way certain tube amps mimic live jazz. Perhaps George just want to relax after getting all hyped from the finale of Breaking Bad or something else that wound him up.
Cheers
Nick
PS I love Wes or Miles more too

Nick
Thanks for posting the link.
George looks like he's enjoying the music. Not so sure the dog is though!
I tend to like hampton but most vibe-tunes don't do it for me either. Those are some crazy tube amps!

Yeah, I don't think I could take a whole album worth of that music, but it does sound nice enough for background music at a Friday/Saturday wine party, or maybe Sunday morning jazz. My idea of fun vibes is Steps Ahead, with Mike Manieri on vibes and Michael Brecker on sax.

Anti-static (carpet).
All ultra high-end audiophiles lift their speaker cables and interconnects, so that they don't touch the floor, but are suspended in mid-air.
Just google it, you'll see.

Gary, this was just for demo purpose of that video. This is not the sound of the album playing in its turntable anyway.
I would agree with you here; me too I would prefer a good tune from Miles ahead of this anti-septic avant-garde type of music (electronica waves).

But you know what they say; music is an acknowledged taste. And not all taste are created equal. :)

P.S. George Cardas is a very unique individual.
{I've seen and read things on my audio mags of the past that I cannot find anywhere online today!}

Nothing's harsh about an honest opinion Nick. :)

Besides, we're talking about nothing more than just a simple short music tune here.
Some might love it and others hate it; music is like wine, or women, or cars, ... you know the score anyway. :)

I think you just hit the nail right in the head's center. :)

About Miles Ahead with Gil Evans?
