I don't know if any of you have seen the movie Rocket Man about Elton John's life.
Last night my wife and I were setting in the living room watching it.
Elton John's father is a big Jazz fan with many records and player. He is also an arrogant A-Ho**.
In one seen young Elton asks if he can come in his music room and listen with him. His father looks at him and says "Yes, but when Jazz is playing there is no talking".
My wife immediately turned, looked at me and burst out laughing. I started laughing without even looking at her. She thinks it's funny I like to only listen to music when I am in my music room.
I have a reputation with her because one night she had her tennis team over for a party and much wine. As the evening went on they wanted to come up and invade my solitude and see what the weird habit I have was all about.
Well, one of the women that we know quite well tends to get loud and talk a lot when drinking. All of the women took turns in the sweet spot and were amazed at the sound. Part way through I had to ask the unnamed chatty women to raise her hand and I would call on her to be able to talk. Everyone thought it was funny but my wife thinks I'm over the top about it.
Asking her was in good fun but it worked.
