The Lumin is a really masterpiece of hardware. Really

I love my u1 mini. Feeding my Sony Taz1hes via usb. And I have another master room that I think I will feed with a t2 since I have nice b&w speakers in it

The funny fact is I am trying Omer Avital - Muhammad’s market (Qobuz - 24b 88.2khz) via airplay and via Roon upsampling it through Dsd and there is no difference or maybe a little difference allowing airplay more gain

Is it my ears or is it my system? That I dont know

Is it the Lumin doing something about airplay making it sound like hires ?

I love this game
This music in my ears is so nice

It would be really wonderful for Lumin to allow display of metadata when airplay is playing. I cannot understand why this is not the case

Peter, is there any technical red flag for this?

For Qobuz and Tidal, it is preferred to use Lumin app or Roon RAAT protocol, instead of AirPlay. In Roon, please go to Settings -> Audio, under Roon Ready, find Lumin, enable it and assign it a zone name. Then in Roon playback, choose the newly named Lumin zone.

Using either correct method of playback, you will get metadata display.

Via AirPlay, your 24/88.2kHz Qobuz music becomes 16/44.1 so it is not ideal. And on Lumin you do not get metadata from AirPlay.

If you do not have other apps that require AirPlay, you may disable Lumin AirPlay by disabling Lumin Streaming in Lumin app settings. If you do not use Spotify, you may disable Spotify Connect.

Roon upsampling has a SDM gain setting, which affects the gain after upsampling.
