Fun coincidence happened today

Each day I drive about a mile to the tiny rural post office where my P.O. Box is located. When I unlocked my post office box today I discovered the new MusicDirect 17 catalog. You may remember last year's catalog with the great photo of Janis Joplin and Grace Slick on the cover. The cover this year is a photo of a young Carlos Santana. I gathered my mail, still marveling at the MusicDirect catalog cover of Santana, thinking how much I like what they're doing with their catalog covers, and got in the Tahoe to return home. I started the vehicle and the radio came on right as "Oye Como Va" from Santana's Abraxas album began to play. It was perfect timing. Quite the coincidence.

Hi Dan,

Huge Santana fan. I saw them at Bethel Woods (the former Woodstock site) in 2014 for the 45th anniversary of the Woodstock Festival. Carlos' playing was supernatural. He said every time they come to Woodstock they needed to elevate their level of playing. I didn't think they could get any higher.

Ken.......Same here. I have been a Santana fan since the late 60's. I know, I'm older than dirt.

The last time I saw Santana live was at Fillmore West Carousel Ballroom in San Francisco many moons ago.

I had a not quite coincidence. A friend brought over some master tape copies two weeks ago that he got from the recording engineer who did the albums. They were of Greg Rolie in two of his early solo albums. Greg was one of the founders of Santana and did a lot of the solos on the early albums, including Abraxas. After some artistic disagreements, he left Santana and founded Journey.

Big fan of his. Seen him twice live.
Even bought a Paul Reed Smith Santana guitar with Brazilian rosewood neck like he plays.
Sold it when I figured out it wasn't the guitar that made him Santana lol. I guess I'm just a poser as my kids like to call me. Oye cómo va on my drum machine still haunts their childhood memories.

I saw the old guy in St Augustine at the amphitheater April 27, 2014. Someone actually got short videos of parts of the concert.
