Fritz Morel 6 loudspeakers

Congrats Zero :congrats:I like the rich timber finish. Are they using silk domes? How would you describe their sound?
Interestingly the Magico S series have a connection to Morel who supply the baskets for the bass drivers, and also carry out final assembly.

Before I comment on the Morel 6's, I'd like to give you all a bit of context. These are the third pair of Fritz products to find their way into my abode. I reviewed his Carbon 7's many years ago for Sonicflare, and then evaluated (but decided not to review) his Rev 5's when they first hit the scene.
Historically speaking, the Carbon 7's have been the staple of his product line. Once you listen to them, it's easy to understand why. Not only are they a great solution for the guy who wants to step outta the Hi-Fi game, they're also great for the Hi-Fi nut who wants to bring in a pair of secondary loudspeakers that are super easy to work with and are super easy to listen to. Still, the Carbon 7's aren't for everybody. Their pleasant tone comes at the price of homogenizing everything that you hear.
As for the Rev 5's: By the time I received these speakers, some reviewers had already clamored on about how these were THE compacts to get - at ANY price. Truth be told though, I didn't think the Rev 5's deserved the kinda colorful praise they were receiving. Sure, the speakers did a few things well, but it took me no time at all to spot numerous problems. I hashed out my observations with Fritz, made a couple suggestions, sent them back - and apparently the suggestions were implemented to quite a bit of fanfare. Sadly, I never heard the Rev 5's after the fact - so I cant comment on how the current Rev 5's sound.
So this brings me to the Morel 6's... Truth be told boys, I only have a few hours on them, so I feel a bit remiss to comment on these speakers with any kind of authority. That said, if what I'm hearing proves to be consistent over time, it's looking like these may be THE Fritz speakers to own. Not only do the Morel 6's sound notably more mature than the Rev 5's that I had, they far outclass the now more expensive Carbon 7's in overall sound quality. So far, the Morel 6's are sounding like proper Hi-Fi loudspeakers. They are open, quick, detailed, yet possess the kinda tonal richness that makes for a pleasant listen. I'm really hoping that Fritz will find a way to keep these speakers locked into their current $1,650 price-point. If he can, then there is no reason - outside of shoddy marketing - why the Morel 6's shouldn't become just as popular as his Carbon 7's.
Anyway, that's my take everybody. Will post more details as time goes on.

Can't wait to hear your opinion on how they sound with different types of music, also your room size. I'm in the middle of a equipment change out and I have a small office 11x10x10 that I'm looking to add a pair of speakers. So far Fritz, LSA's, Nola BoxerII, J.M.R Silver Bliss, Harbeth are on my list. I've been using Kef LS50 but those got moved to another area of the home.

As an aside, I haven't had the pleasure of hearing the LSA's, Nola Boxers, or any of the JMR's outside of show conditions. However, I'm familiar with the LS50's and currently run a set of P3ESR's on my secondary rig.
