Focal Utopia III Scala V2's in the house!

Admittedly, vac and focal is excellent together, but so is Aesthetix and focal and this Devialet too.

Good luck with the new speaks!

I spent an evening with Albert Porter over the holiday and his Grandes sounded great with Allnic/ARC.
 
Thanks Kevin. So far so good. :)

I'm going to give them a few hundred hours before really assessing, but I they have already changed quite a bit in the past 24 hours.

The Devialet, I must say, is really incredible too.
 
Same here. Can't wait for your review. Scala V2 very well could be my next speakers purchase. Are you running Devialet with Sam on?

I would love to! But SAM for Focal Scala V2 is showing "SAM Processing Soon".

+ 1. I use 2 way Focal Utopia splits in my car which use the same driver technology & BE tweeter. The sound is very natural and resoloving (especially of low level detail). I am astonished at times at the amazing top end, staging, dynamics and bass. So their home speakers must be great too!

Supposedly they can generate a new SAM pretty quickly now that they have done a bunch. Back around Thanksgiving the Devialet rep told me they could make one for a new speaker in less than a day. They may not have had a request for one for this speaker before; if you,let them know you want it they may write one quickly.

Good question.

The Scala V2's have 120 votes.

I spoke to Océane at Devialet and he said the SAM
manager really wants to do the Scala V2's, but they just haven't managed to locate a pair. He jokingly told me to send them mine!

I'll buzz them again next week and see.

I am really beyond smitten with this combo so far. I was just cranking Mahler Symphony No. 2 and just smiling ear to ear.
