No pictures here.
Niles 49. Don't know the brand of the speakers you've asked about. They were in the Deja Vu audio room. For old school rock they REALLY boogied.
Great show, great weather.
Some real eye openers.
Mike's room's were both excellent. Magico in one and AvantGarde in the other.
A real shocker was the Borreson monitor. Truly mind boggling
Exhibitors were very helpful and openly shared information on their products.
Wish I could have spent more time or could return tomorrow but I very much enjoyed my time there.

Thanks! I was able to track down the following from a quick email to Deja Vu:

Whomever said "a picture is worth 10,000 words" obviously never tried to figure out how a system sounded from a picture.

How about some comments to go with the pretty pictures. What rooms grabbed your ears?

Brad, just in case you were getting ready to get your Platinum Master Card out to buy a pair of the Borreson's, that $37,500.00 price does include the stands. But not tax or shipping.
Glad I was able to clear that up.

Thanks. I went back today/Sunday to take another listen, it was a difficult room to get into though. They again sounded quite good. i would be curious how the models above this sound.

$37,500 with stands does ease the pain a bit but I think my MasterCard account will be unblemished from any transaction.

On Friday I called my wife after I left the show and told her about some of the equipment I thought was stunning.
There was bit of silence and with a rather cautious tone she said "I didn't know you were seriously looking for any new equipment". I assured her that MBL's were probably to large for my listening room and our retirement accounts are safe.

All of my choices may be different based on a real life listening room and better acoustics. This is a few that first come to mind.

My top was the MBL room. I would love to hear them in a proper listening room. post #73
Joseph Audio-Pulsars 2-way speakers were very good especially for $5,200 retail. post #62 & 63
Borrensen Acoustics speakers post #28
Avanteguarde- Bart's post #3 and SunCoast/Mike's post #2

DSA pre & mono's with Vienna Acoustics "Liszt" speakers

Very disappointing for me was the large Martin Logan room -post #49. I am a big fan having owned their speakers for 20 years or more.
The Neolith's sounded very harsh to me. There was no acoustical treatments for them and I don't know enough about the Parasound electronics they were paired with to say it was not a good match.

If you are displaying your Flagship $75,000 speaker I think more could have been done for the presentation. I listened on Friday and again Sunday and the sound was the same.
I will readily admit I am taking it personally but, those speakers should have sounded stunning.

Thank you to all those that posted pictures.
Very much appreciated.
I will try to attend next year.
