Florida Audio Expo 2023

Look forward to the show. Always a very friendly environment with plenty of good systems and audio friends. And, this will be the largest yet!

We have maxed out our exhibitor allotment of rooms and actually had to get 7 more exhibit rooms from the hotel. We’ve been turning away last minute Lou’s for the past couple of weeks. If a manufacturer/distributor isn’t at the show, they will seriously be missing out on incredible coverage and free press! I believe we have 77 rooms, nearly double from 2022. Double the ad spend for attracting attendees. We also have 42 press coming….I believe that is the most for any show. [emoji15]. We are also accepting the YouTuber guys with open arms, setting up empty rooms for them to do their wrap up’s, interviews, meet with people. Watch for the other shows to now copy us on that front. LOL.

Several years ago when Mike went full time at Suncoast and announced the Tampa show, some knucklehead posted a flamer that portended doom for the show because Mike didn't know what he was doing or getting into. At the time, I think I responded with words to the effect that this guy obviously had never met Mike. I wonder what he would say now? What a huge success the show has become. Never a doubt in my mind. Great job.

Thank you Eric. It means a lot coming from someone as successful in life and business such as yourself.

Both guys were named Bill. Both in the industry for decades. One even outlined our failure and ultimate demise in detail long before Covid[emoji15].

Anyway, both were wrong even with Covid! Both apologized publicly. We’ve moved on and I sincerely hope they can both attend one day. Don’t even think about them to be honest.

We have a GREAT team behind the scenes. Sue, Denise, Bart and the entire Florida show team.

Our radio ads across the state are running starting today. Jazz and classical stations will be playing them. We have done many things no other show does to attract a broad audience.

The fun begins next week!

Mike from everything you have said I am sure you guys will deliver a better and more successful show this year. With the demise of RMAF the Florida Show has the potential for becoming the standard in the US.

I do find your comment regarding placing your radio ads on Jazz and Classical stations a bit humorous . Those two genres of music are the lowest selling/streamed in the US. Their proponents might also be two of the most loyal and most capable of purchasing the systems that we be shown at the show.

When we lived in Maine we took a day trip and drove up to the top of MT Washington. At the base it was 70 degrees at the top there were snow flurries and 65 mph winds. Our dogs would not get of the vehicle.

The highest recorded wind speed on earth,. not storm related up there at 231 mph. The building that the meteorologist lived in through the winter was a log cabin with massive chains over top of the building anchoring it to the ground.

A Portland Me. news program would have a segment live from there every Friday night through the winter. By the approach of spring that guy looked really rough and a bit stir crazy.

Sounds like Florida might be the place to visit next year for the show. Mike, what is the weather like in sunny Florida at this time of year?
