Still extremely happy. I would love to hear the new SQ version but it’s a lot more money. I’m a little more sensitive to speaker highs so these are perfect for me. Different front ends alter the sound but these speakers, IMO, make everything not only listenable but wonderfully satisfying and engaging. Two thumbs up.
 
No real concerns on freq response. It has a less in your face horn presentation. Both versions have their own sound. Since owning them, adding my dual carbon subs into music are unnecessary. Thats not to say they are bass monsters, but they do have a nice natural rolloff into low 50s, maybe high 40s that my room seems to like.

Fwiw, I’ve tried running them with some tube AB power, and so far between my two amps, the Devilles like power/headroom, and in my experience, i prefer them running off my Bakoon amp.

I heard the OMA Minis a long time ago and those were certainly not in your face but still quite engaging. I had never heard a horn that sounded like that. At that time, I was looking for something that went deeper and didn’t want to try to integrate a sub. As I get older, I am not sure this matters and maybe I should get my hearing tested. :lol:
