Firmware 8.0 will be available on 14-May-2015:

Devialet Expert is always on top

ICM Intelligent Cinema Mode
Devialet transfigures your soundtracks, making voices and sound details more audible. Your movies have never sounded so good. (Requires the new Configurator, online on the 14th of May)

DPM Dynamic Power Management
The power supply adapts continuously to the music playing for greater energetic efficiency.

SAM V2, Speaker Active Matching
SAM is now able to model the most complex speakers, even those with passive radiators. (Requires the new Configurator, online on the 14th of May)

WOW! Exciting stuff! Thanks for sharing.

Now is DEFINITELY the time to own a Devialet!

Yes, and if you're not currently an owner, there's some good deals on Agon.

It's interesting to see DSD supported over all the digital inputs: USB, coax, AES/EBU, etc and not just USB.

I'm very curious about SAM V2.

I don't follow...

You would understand if you could see the collection of SD cards on my desk - as I have been trying many configurations during the last three weeks I already have more than ten, and now I must duplicate a few of them. The 400's need two cards, five configurations in two firmware versions will need twenty SD cards! IMHO it is the only way to carry proper evaluations.

Interesting. I just have my laptop close by.

You should. The day following the arrival of my Devialets I seized all the SD cards laying in the cameras and family laptops ... BTW, the Devialet only needs 2GB cards, but I found it accepts 4, 8 and 16Gbyte ones.

I got the firmware and two extra SD cards, however the Devialet site is now down for maintenance, displaying:

"We are busy updating our website. Enjoy your favourite tune, we will be back very soon"

Some people at the Devialet chat say that the new firmware asks for a new configuration file, I am not taking risks and I am still enjoying my music using firmware 7.1!

Freaky reading about DSP upgrades.... Much like a HT processor or even a PC!

Let's hope there is no way to brick your box as you venture into the lifecycle norm of periodic firmware updates...

You can always revert back to the original firmware. The Devialet isn't a $500 receiver!

I have yet to take delivery of my 400. Does it take the standard photo type SD card?

Been listening to 8.0 for about an hour. Completely blown away. DSD sounds amazing. I don't know exactly what DPM does, but holy crap, it sounds like I'm listening to one of the fastest amps I've ever heard.
